Where do you hope to visit next? Next on the list is the Stairway to Heaven in Fermanagh (once the lockdown is over of course) it’s been on my list for a while so I’m really looking forward to it  Did you scratch off the attractions that you visited before before your Scratchable Map Ireland? Or did you 'start afresh' when you got your map? Started afresh, you can’t just get the map and tick off everywhere! 🙈 I think it adds to the day knowing you are going there and afterwards get to tick off a list, but maybe that’s because I’m an accountant and like lists. Did your Scratchable Map Ireland help you to discover any new attractions? If so, which ones? Absolutely, my mum is from Wicklow and I would never have realised where the dolmen in Carlow was was until I got my map and realised it was on the road we have driven through hundreds of times.

What The Locals Say - Glenveagh National Park

Glenveagh boasts several well-signposted walking trails, suitable for all levels of fitness, and even a shuttle bus from the visitors centre to the castle if you are feeling particularly lazy! No matter which route you choose, you will be amazed by the beautiful views of mountains, lakes and glens that await you at every turn. The park is home to a huge variety of wildlife, including the largest herd of red deer in Ireland, and if you’re very lucky you may even spot one of the famous Golden eagles, which were reintroduced to the area in the year 2000, having previously been extinct in Ireland.
