Although the Abbey is the main attraction. I personally prefer visiting the Gardens and/or neo-gothic church. As you exit the Abbey, the neo-gothic church is only a short walk to your left. This walk is along the lake and really makes for some beautiful Connemara scenery. It’s a very peaceful place.

Read moreOne of my favourite places to visit in Ireland is the wee city of Kilkenny.The main attraction for tourists is the famous Kilkenny Castle, situated in the centre of the town. On a sunny day the castle grounds are lined with both locals and visitors embracing the “fine weather”. I highly recommend a tour of the castle.
