Meet The Team At Scratchable Map Ireland

We are the definition of a small business here at Scratchable Map Ireland. We are a family business based in County Tipperary. Let me introduce the team.

Paul

Paul - Scratchable Map Ireland

I am a history and maths teacher from Tipperary. I play hurling and enjoy cycling and hiking at the weekends. I used to want to travel the world but now I want to see every corner of Ireland. The idea for Scratchable Map Ireland came about after a summer road trip when I wanted a way to check off the attractions I had visited around Ireland.

In the summer of 2018, I attempted to visit all 62 attractions on Scratchable Map Ireland. I failed, but came close. I visited all bar Skellig Mhicil and Mizen Head. I definitely would not recommend it. Ireland is not a country to be explored in a hurry. From now on, exploring Ireland will be slow and easy.

My favourite attraction on Scratchable Map Ireland is Slieve League in County Donegal. I'm looking forward to going back to complete the cliff walk.

Vera

Vera - Scratchable Map Ireland

Vera is my mam. She was retired, until I brought the Scratchable Map Ireland idea to her. Her passions include arts & crafts, oil painting, gardening and sustainable living. Mam makes greeting cards, grows some fruit and veg at home and reuses everything! She makes homemade jam and even made bee's wax wraps.

I may have come up with the idea for Scratchable Map Ireland but Mam is the driving force behind it. She is behind the beautiful packaging that our customers regularly compliment us on. She also processes orders, organizes stock and keeps me in check!

Mam is an active member of our local Tidy Towns and a few other voluntary organisations. She is the inspiration for Scratchable Map Ireland's commitment to plant native Irish trees.

Her favourite attraction on Scratchable Map Ireland is Cahir Castle. The walk from the castle to Swiss Cottage is a particular highlight for her.

Seamus

Seamus - Scratchable Map Ireland

Dad is a self-employed businessman who works from home. He has been actively involved in local clubs for as long as I can remember. In his spare time, Dad loves a round of golf and to walk the dog in our local woodlands.

When there are no customers in his shop, Seamus brings the day's orders across the road to Claire in our local post office. Dad's favourite attraction on Scratchable Map Ireland is Glendalough.

Seamus is looking for us to create a golf edition of Scratchable Map Ireland in 2020.

Cian

Cian - Scratchable Map Ireland

Cian is an art teacher from County Tipperary. He is married to Grainne and they have three children. Cian is the creative genius behind Scratchable Map Ireland. He has put hours and days into the drawing of the map. (Yes, that's the original there behind him) Cian is currently working on a new project that will hopefully be revealed in 2020.

Cian's hobbies include soccer, music and drama. His favourite attraction in Ireland is the Rock Of Cashel. No Tipperary bias here at all!

When you order a Scratchable Map Ireland you are supporting a local Irish business. The map itself is printed in Ireland. We try to have all recyclable packaging. And we plant a tree for every 10 maps sold.

This Black Friday and Cyber Monday, instead of offering discounts, we're going to plant a tree for every map sold.
